Boots on Let’s Travel: New York City

New York: A City of Dreams, Energy, and Endless Exploration

New York City had been my dream destination since childhood, and I finally got the chance to visit—not once, but twice! My first trip in 2019, just before the pandemic, was an unforgettable experience, and in 2023, I returned with a dear friend to dive even deeper into the city's endless wonders.

Exploring the Heart of the Big Apple

During both trips, I made it a mission to experience everything New York had to offer. I stayed near Times Square, where, surprisingly, hotels were quite affordable. Seeing the dazzling lights of Times Square in person was surreal, and I loved the city's vibrant energy at all hours of the day. Walking through the streets of Manhattan was a dream come true, and I spent plenty of time capturing the city's essence through photography.

One of my absolute favorite places to visit was Brooklyn. I walked across the Brooklyn Bridge multiple times, taking in the breathtaking views of the skyline. Another highlight was visiting Coney Island, where I tried the famous Nathan’s hot dogs and enjoyed the nostalgic charm of the boardwalk.

A Cityscape Like No Other

New York’s architecture is truly mesmerizing. I took the time to visit some of the city's most iconic buildings, including the Empire State Building, my personal favorite, and Top of the Rock for stunning panoramic views. The Vessel Building and High Line Park were also must-see locations, offering a unique mix of modern design and urban nature. Of course, no trip to New York would be complete without a cruise to see the Statue of Liberty, a powerful and historic symbol of freedom.

Museums, Culture, and Hidden Gems

As a lover of history and culture, I spent hours exploring the Natural History Museum, which was just as fascinating as I had imagined. My second trip allowed me to focus more on street photography, capturing the city's raw and vibrant character.

Another part of New York I truly appreciated was its vintage shopping scene. I visited several thrift stores and unique boutiques, finding some incredible pieces that added to my collection. Whether in Brooklyn or the East Village, there was always something interesting to discover.

A Foodie’s Paradise

New York’s diverse culinary scene was a highlight of my trip. I tried food from various cultures, but some of my most memorable meals included a creamy risotto at an Italian restaurant and delicious Asian cuisine that left a lasting impression. The city’s street food, from bagels to soft pretzels, was also a must-try!
